these sweets are prepared with cashew nuts soaked in water for a considerable period, which are then ground to a paste. sugar solution is boiled down, after which it is added to the ground cashews kaju. ghee, saffron [kesar], cardamom powder, thick milk also be added. as the name suggests the sweet is shaped like a betel leaf which is also called โ€˜paan pataโ€™ in bengali. it will be a loss if you miss the chance to taste this luscious, sweet from ganguram near you.
